With A Historic Village And Over 14 Miles Of Trails, This Underrated New Jersey State Park Is A Must-Visit
New Jersey has no shortage of beautiful state parks to visit, but some of them can fly under the radar a little bit. Allamuchy Mountain State Park, located in Allamuchy and Byram Townships, is one such example. The park has over 14 miles of marked trails and over 20 miles of unmarked trails in a tranquil wooded setting, but that's not all it offers.

Enjoy a brisk winter afternoon learning how maple syrup is made.  The whole family will enjoy spending the day outdoors, hiking on our trails, and partaking in our Maple Sugaring Challenge!  Also enjoy some hot chocolate, maple vendors, and more.  It’s going to be a sweet day.  This event will be held rain or shine; no refunds.

REGISTRATION: We will have staggered entry times at 1:00 pm and 2:30 pm.  Please be sure that you sign up for the correct time slot, as changing will be based on availability.

Member registration begins Monday, January 30 at 9:00 am.  Non-member registrations begins Monday, February 6 at 9:00 am.

Maple Sugaring Fest is FREE for RRA Members and children under 3. The cost for Non-Members is $5 per person. 

PLEASE NOTE:  registration for Family level members is limited to immediate family only. Individual and Senior level members are entitled to their own entry and Dual level members are entitled to their two household entries. When registering, please include the number of people attending and their names in the participant's box. Thank you.

);;:> ANSWER: NO! You must purchase a separate Flood Insurance Policy to be covered for flood eventsPurchase today! Don't wait for the next flood, as there is a 30-day waiting period for coverage to begin - not enough time to find out what the weather forecast is!

QUESTION: What about all the great stuff I have in my house. Does my Flood Insurance policy cover the contents of my home?

);;:> ANSWER: NO! Protect your belongings by adding Contents Insurance to your coverageIt does not typically cost much more and can provide extra peace of mind should your property become flooded.

QUESTION: What can I do to protect my home or business from future floods?


ANSWER: You can join in with your many friends and neighbors who have elevated their homes, floodproofed their businesses with venting,checking your building for water entry points and addressing them,installing mechanisms to prevent sewer back-ups, developing a disaster response plan, and more! ANSWER: There are many simple steps you can take to be better prepared for the next emergency, such as: knowing how to shut off electricity and gas, making a list of emergency numbers, creating household inventory, placing insurance and other important papers in a safe place.
